Hump Day Q&A - Night Weaning
Published January 6, 2024 · Updated July 17, 2026
The short answer
Timing and flexibility are everything with night weaning. Look for signs your little one is genuinely ready rather than feeding out of habit, and stay flexible around milestones, teething, and illness, when they may truly need extra comfort and feeds again. Weaning is rarely linear, so follow their cues and never resort to leaving them to cry.
